SITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The elected parish councillors are appointed to serve the residents of the Parish of Bramley.  The Parish Council's facilities and responsibilities are:

 

  • Parish Hall, Cross Street, Bramely, Rotherham, S66 2SA - Hall hire for activities ranging from tai chi to tea dances.  Details of clubs that rent the Parish Hall are shown on the notice board inside the building.

  • Recreation Ground, Flash Lane, Bramley, Rotherham, S66 1TS - Football pitches and changing rooms, multi use games area and children's playgrounds. Local fayres and events often use the recreation ground as a venue.

  • Bill Chafer Youth & Community Centre, Flash Lane, Bramely, Rotherham, S66 1TS – Sport hall hire for activities ranging from playgroups to table tennis.  Children’s holiday clubs run is this building during most school holidays, see our Facebook page for details.

  • Cemetery, Flash Lane, Bramley, Rotherham, S66 1TZ - Administration of interments, wall of remembrance and maintenance of the grounds.

  • War Memorial, Cross Street, Bramley, Rotherham, S66 2SA - Memorial to fallen men and women from the Armed Services.

  • Landscaping - Flower and tree planting throughout the Parish of Bramley.

  • Allotments – The two Bramley allotment site at Wadsworth Road and Bramley Grange are managed by Bramley Parish Council. Apply to clerkbramleypc@gmail.com for further information.

  • Events and support - The Parish Council supports the annual Christmas Market and other community activities. 

 

Our facilities are available for hire for community activities and children's parties, but please contact the Clerk to the Parish Council to check for availability:

Bramley Skate Park, children's playground, multi-use games area and recreation ground are all freely available at Flash Lane, so please take the time to have a look and use these facilities.

ABOUT US

​

Bramley Parish Council is a small parish around four miles outside of Rotherham in South Yorkshire. All parish councillors are from the local area and take on these volunteer positions in their spare time.

​

The parish council is also the sole trustee for Bramley Village Trust and manages and maintains a village hall, youth club, skate park, play area, football pitches & recreation ground and multi-use games area (MUGA) within the parish.
